
Wolverines to Head to Bloomington for Ranked Matchup with Indiana

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 13-ranked University of Michigan field hockey team (5-2, 1-0 Big Ten) will continue Big Ten play on the road this weekend, facing No. 18 Indiana (5-3, 1-0 Big Ten) at Deborah Tobias Field in Bloomington, Ind., on Saturday (Sept. 26). The game is scheduled for noon and will stream live on B1G+.
Notes
• Michigan claimed a 2-1 win over rival Michigan State in its conference opener at Ralph Young Field on Friday (Sept. 18) before topping Central Michigan 5-0 on Sunday (Sept. 20). Kelsey Reviello and Eva Bernardy found the back of the cage against the Spartans to extend the Wolverines' winning streak against MSU to 15 games. Three Wolverines scored against Central Michigan, while freshman Tilly Gibson contributed two assists for the first points of her collegiate career.
• Eva Bernardy, Juliette Manzur and Esmée de Willigen share the team lead with three goals apiece this season. Manzur and de Willigen have both recorded hat tricks, with Manzur's coming against Central Michigan. Bernardy leads the Wolverines with 11 shots on goal and has added two assists. Ten Wolverines have scored this season, with Kelsey Reviello joining Bernardy, Manzur and de Willigen as multiple-goal scorers.
• U-M has outscored its opponents, 17-6, and posted shutouts against Kent State and Central Michigan. Michigan has drawn 49 penalty corners this season, ranking second in the Big Ten with an average of seven per game, and has converted five.
• The Michigan defense has limited opponents to 7.4 shots per game and allowed just four goals on 25 penalty corners. Hala Silverstein ranks ninth nationally with a 0.77 goals-against average and has recorded nine saves.
• Indiana is 5-3 (1-0 Big Ten) after splitting a pair of games against Iowa last weekend. The Hoosiers upset the No. 2 Hawkeyes 3-1 on Friday (Sept. 18) before falling 2-1 in a shootout on Sunday (Sept. 20). The second matchup did not count toward either team's conference record.
• Indiana's offense is led by Molly Stutte with seven goals and Celia Arroyo Cabezudo with six. The pair ranks second and fifth, respectively, in the Big Ten in goals. The Hoosiers have outscored their opponents 24-8 this season and posted shutouts against New Hampshire and Central Michigan.
• Michigan leads the all-time series against Indiana 25-5, including an 11-1 record in Bloomington. In the teams' most recent meeting, the Wolverines earned a 3-1 win at Phyllis Ocker Field.
