The Mock Rock Tradition
Mock Rock was originally created in 1999 as a tribute to Michigan wrestler Jeff Reese, who passed away while training for a meet. Proceeds from the event went to fund the Jeff Reese Endowed Scholarship. Over time, Michigan student-athletes began using the event to raise funds for a beneficiary in the community.
