Notes
• With its No. 3 USILA ranking, Michigan has garnered the second-highest poll position in program history. The Wolverines have beaten five ranked opponents this season, including then-No. 5 Florida and then-No. 6 Boston College.
• U-M earned two important wins in week eight, topping No. 20 Denver 12-6 and earning a decisive 16-3 victory in conference play against Oregon to improve to 3-0 in Big Ten action.
• Michigan's backline ranks No. 18 nationally in scoring defense, allowing just 8.50 goals per game. The Wolverines did not give up a goal for over 20 minutes against No. 20 Denver, and Oregon went more than 30 minutes without scoring in U-M's most recent outing.
• Graduate student Ava Class paced the Wolverines, tallying 11 points in two games with three goals and eight assists. She tied the Michigan single-game record with six assists against Oregon and helped U-M to a win over No. 20 Denver with two goals and two assists. The midfielder ranks 15th in the conference with 15 assists.
• Senior Grace Callahan needs just seven ground balls to tie the Michigan all-time record of 111 set by Maddie Burns in 2024. Callahan has 18 ground balls so far this season and has recorded 30 ground balls in the last two seasons. The defender also has 75 caused turnovers and needs just five more to tie the all-time Michigan record of 80 set by Madeline Dion in 2017. Callahan tied a Michigan single-game record with six caused turnovers against Oregon and ranks seventh in the conference in caused turnovers.
• Sophomore Emma Burke broke her own program single-game draw control record against Central Michigan. The midfielder won 22 draw controls against the Chippewas, single-handedly outdrawing CMU, 22-11, and won all but two draws. Burke's 22 draw-control wins also rank third all-time in NCAA single-game history with Haley Wagner of Marist (April 27, 2019).
• The Michigan trio of Class, Callahan and Calli Norris were named to the 2026 Tewaaraton Award Watch List. Callahan earned a spot on the list for the second straight season, while it is the first appearance for Class and Norris.
