The Scarlet Knights (9-5, 3-3 Big Ten) dominated the draw against the Wolverines (10-3, 4-1 Big Ten), 20-7, and used a trio of three-goal runs to earn the victory.
Senior Calli Norris led the Michigan offense with five goals and four draw-control wins, while Ceci Stein had two goals and an assist for three points on the evening. Graduate student Ava Class also added two assists.
Defensively, Jordyn Harrison had two ground balls, while Taylor Cullen had a ground ball and a caused turnover. Freshman Elizabeth Johnson made six saves in the cage.

The Scarlet Knights outscored U-M 2-1 in the final minutes of the quarter as they took a 5-3 lead into the second 15 minutes.
The Wolverines settled in, with Norris netting her second goal on a free position. Following a sixth goal from Rutgers, Michigan put together a 3-0 run, capped off with Norris' third goal of the game to swing the lead back in favor of U-M, 7-6. For the second time in the contest, the Scarlet Knights notched three straight goals to carry a 9-7 advantage into the halftime break.
Stein came out in the third quarter to score two quick goals to knot the score at nine before Rutgers put together its third three-goal run to take a 12-9 lead into the final quarter.
Norris started the fourth quarter just as she had the first and second, with a goal. However, Rutgers won the ensuing draw and put its lead back to three, 13-10, with 13:25 left in the game. U-M began to make its comeback, as Katharine Merrifield scored off a pass from Emerson Pattillo and Norris added her fifth of the game on a free position with one minute remaining, but it was not enough; Rutgers ran out the clock after winning the final draw control of the game.
Michigan concludes the weekend with a visit to No. 9 Johns Hopkins for a noon contest that will be broadcast live on ESPNU.
