The University of Michigan women's lacrosse team had one of the best seasons in program history, earning eight ranked wins -- including knocking off No. 3 Maryland for the first time ever, and defeating No. 5 Florida. The Wolverines hosted the first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament for just the second time in program history and made their fifth straight appearance in the tournament and sixth overall.



Team Highlights
• Michigan ended the 2026 campaign ranked ninth nationally after it earned eight wins over ranked opponents and made a second-round appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
• Michigan ranked in the top 25 in three statistical categories: eighth in draw-control percentage (.609), 14th in save percentage (.482) and 21st in scoring defense (8.80).
• The Wolverines secured their first-ever win over Florida and just the program's fifth victory over a top-five program with a 12-10 upset victory in the opening weekend of the season.
• U-M defeated No. 3 Maryland for the first time in the history of the program with a decisive 15-4 victory. The Wolverines kept the Terrapins to just four goals, its lowest output of the season, as they earned a running clock in the third quarter and kept UMD off the scoreboard for the entirety of the fourth quarter.
• Michigan started Big Ten Conference play 4-0 for the first time in program history and tallied a program-best six wins in league play.





Individual Highlights
• Senior Grace Callahan earned IWLCA third team All-America honors and a host of other accolades, including the IWLCA West/Midwest All-Region first team, ILWomen Nike first team All-America, USA Lacrosse second team All-America, first team All-Big Ten, and being named to the Tewaaraton Watch List for the second straight year. Callahan anchored a Michigan defense that ranked 21st nationally, allowing 8.80 goals per game. The defender broke the Michigan career ground-ball record, collecting 27 this season to bring her total to 112. She also ranks second in program history with 79 caused turnovers, forcing 24 in her final season at Michigan. The Victor, N.Y., native notched five games with two caused turnovers or more, including six against Oregon, while posting seven games with two ground balls or more. Callahan added a goal against Yale and an assist against Mercer this season and won 21 draw controls.
• In addition to Callahan, four other Wolverines earned IWLCA West/Midwest All-Region honors. Emma Bradbury, Emma Burke, Jordyn Harrison and Calli Norris each earned second-team honors.
• The Wolverines tied a program-best eight All-Big Ten honorees, with three on the first team. Callahan, Harrison and Burke were named to the first team, while Ava Class, Bradbury, Taylor Cullen and Norris notched second-team honors and Elizabeth Johnson was named to the All-Freshman team. Claire Nelson was honored as Michigan's Sportsmanship Award honoree.
• Bradbury led the Michigan offense with a career-best 70 points, ranking her 11th in the Big Ten and fifth in program history for a single season. The junior attacker scored 51 goals to rank fourth all-time in Michigan single-season history, recording 15 multi-point games, including at USF with six goals and three assists. Bradbury also tallied 13 games with two goals or more and three games with five or more. She added 22 ground balls, six caused turnovers and five draw controls in 2026.
• Burke dominated the draw control in her sophomore season as the draw specialist, leading the Big Ten and ranking sixth nationally with 178 wins. The midfielder also ranked 12th nationally with 8.90 draw-control wins per game. Burke broke her own standing single-game and single-season draw control records, tallying 22 wins against Central Michigan, which ranked third all-time in NCAA single-game history, while her 178 wins broke her Michigan 2025 season record of 135. Burke also shattered the U-M career draw-control record this season with 313 wins, breaking Anna Schueler's record of 239 (2014-17). Burke produced 16 games with five draw-control wins or more and eight double-digit draw-control-win outings this season.
• Harrison helped Callahan anchor the defense, leading the Wolverines with 32 ground-ball pickups and ranking second with 26 caused turnovers. The senior defender tallied six games with two caused turnovers or more, including causing four turnovers each against Ohio State and Johns Hopkins. Harrison also had nine contests with at least two ground balls, with a season-best five against Oregon.
• Norris ranked second on the team in points, with 67 -- including 52 goals -- in her final season, which ranked sixth in the Big Ten, while recording 16 multi-goal contests with a season-best five against both Rutgers and Penn State. The Vero Beach, Fla., native recorded at least one point in all 20 games this season and had a season-high seven points (four goals, three assists) against Stanford in the NCAA Tournament. The senior also added 48 draw controls to her stat line and reached the career century club in both points and goals this season.
• Johnson finished her freshman season at No. 7 in the ILWomen Freshman Impact Ranking after she earned the starting job in the cage. She ranked 16th nationally in save percentage (.480) and 17th in saves (155), while being just two saves shy of the Michigan single-game saves record with 15 in her career debut against Notre Dame. Johnson recorded six double-digit save efforts, including 13 against Northwestern, while earning 12 wins in the cage in her first season.
