
Callahan Earns IWLCA All-America Honor

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. -- Senior Grace Callahan of the University of Michigan women's lacrosse team was named an Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Association third team All-American, as announced by the organization on Thursday afternoon (May 21).
Callahan earns the honor for the second time after being named to the third team after the 2025 season.
She adds this All-America honor to her list of season accolades, including earning IWLCA West/Midwest All-Region first team, ILWomen Nike first Team All-America, USA Lacrosse second team All-America, first team All-Big Ten, and being named to the Tewaaraton Watch List for the second straight year.
Callahan anchored a Michigan defense that ranked 24th nationally, allowing 8.80 goals per game. The senior defender broke the Michigan career ground-ball record, collecting 27 this season to bring her total to 112. She also ranks second in program history with 79 career caused turnovers, forcing 24 in her final season at Michigan. The Victor, N.Y., native notched five games with two caused turnovers or more, including six against Oregon, while posting seven games with two ground balls or more. Callahan added a goal against Yale and an assist against Mercer this season and won 21 draw controls.
