Mira Shane (April 25)
Tewaaraton Award Nominees List -- Senior Mira Shane has been named to the 25-player Tewaaraton Award nominees list. She has been an integral part of the Wolverines record-breaking 15-2 campaign and has appeared in all 17 games in the cage with a 12-2 record. The Princeton, New Jersey, native carried a .502 save percentage, making 115 stops this year, including four games with 10 saves or more. Shane owns the Michigan program record with 23 wins and also holds the single-game saves record with 18, set against Dartmouth on Feb. 17. This season, she also has been named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week and US Lacrosse Player of the Week. Five Tewaaraton Award finalists will be announced on May 9 and invited to the award ceremony, which will be held in Washington, D.C. on May 30.
Mira Shane (April 11)
Tewaaraton Award Watch List -- Senior Mira Shane is one of 11 players -- and one of three from the Big Ten -- that were added to the Tewaaraton Award watch list. The Tewaaraton Award annually honors the top male and female college lacrosse player in the United States. This season, Shane has posted a program-best 10 wins, while breaking the single-game saves record with 18. She has also tallied four games with 10 or more saves in the cage and carries a .521 save percentage. The list will be narrowed to 25 on April 25, and the five award finalists will be named on May 9. The winner will be announced May 30 in Washington, D.C. Shane joins teammate Molly Garrett on the 2019 list, while Michigan head coach Hannah Nielsen was a two-time Tewaaraton Award winner (2008, '09) during her time at Northwestern.

Tewaaraton Award Watch List -- Junior Molly Garrett is one of 10 players -- and one of three from the Big Ten -- that were added to the Tewaaraton Award watch list. In the four games since the the initial watch list was released (Feb. 28), Garrett has scored four of her nine goals and collected eight of her 17 ground balls in helping the Wolverines extend their record to 10-0. Mira Shane (Feb. 26)
Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week -- Senior Mira Shane helped the Wolverines to improve to 5-0 overall after coming one save short of a career best, making 17 saves against No. 14 Colorado. Shane also kept Colorado to 3-of-7 on free-position attempts in the contest and came up with clutch saves to lock up the victory in the second half of play. Finally, Shane had three ground balls and one caused turnover. » Big Ten Release
Mira Shane (Feb. 19)
Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week -- Senior goalie Mira Shane earned two wins in Michigan's 2019 home-opening weekend. She started in goal against Central Michigan and Dartmouth, leading U-M to its first 4-0 season start. Shane played just the first 30 minutes in the win against Central Michigan, making two saves en route to a 20-4 victory. She followed it up with a career-best 18 saves against Dartmouth, forcing it to go 5-for-14 on free-position attempts.
