The Titans outscored the Wolverines 4-2 in the final 15 minutes of the opening stanza to cut U-M's lead to six, 11-5, at halftime. Grace Hemmer scored her first career goal, and Coughlan completed her third hat trick of the season during that stretch.
Detroit's Lexie Kinmond recorded two goals and one assist in the first half, but Madison Richardson and Michigan's defense held her to just one goal in the second half.
The Titans notched the first goal of the second half with less than a minute off the clock, but Angerman fed Sophie duPhily for the score, and then Natalie Carti added another four minutes later to make it a 13-6 game in Michigan's favor.
