Marosevic Named to Academic All-District First Team

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Sophomore forward Peri Marosevic (Rockford, Ill./Edison Academy) of the University of Michigan men's soccer team was named to the Academic All-District first team, announced today (Thursday, Nov. 1) by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Marosevic's nomination to the Academic All-District IV first team advances him to the Academic All-America ballot.
To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a scale of 4.00, and hold at least sophomore athletic and academic standing at his current institution.
Marosevic, who is undecided on a major, is the team's top scorer with five goals this season. He also has two assists and leads the team with 20 shots on goal. He was named to the all-tournament team at Cal State-Fullerton's Titan Tournament in September.
The Wolverines will close out regular-season play Sunday (Nov. 4) with a 2 p.m. game at Penn State. They will begin Big Ten Tournament play next Thursday (Nov. 8) in East Lansing, Mich.
