
Michigan-Oregon Series Finale Schedule Altered; Bark in the Park on Tap Saturday

SCHEDULE UPDATE: Due to inclement weather forecasted in Ann Arbor, Saturday's (April 4) finale between U-M and Oregon will now begin at 11 a.m. instead of the originally scheduled noon start.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan baseball team (14-13, 3-6 Big Ten) will return home for its second Big Ten weekend series, welcoming No. 15-ranked Oregon (23-6, 7-2 Big Ten) to the Wilpon Complex, home of Ray Fisher Stadium. The three-game set begins Thursday (April 2) at 3 p.m., continues Friday (April 3) at 4 p.m., and concludes Saturday (April 4) at noon. All games will be streamed on B1G+.

• Michigan enters the weekend at 14-13 overall after securing its first Big Ten series victory of the season against Rutgers. After dropping the opener 4-3, the Wolverines responded with an 11-5 win on Saturday (March 28) before claiming the series with a 6-2 victory behind strong pitching and a home run from Cade Ladehoff. U-M previously fell in conference series to No. 1 UCLA and Nebraska.
• Colby Turner leads Michigan across the board offensively and ranks among the Big Ten's top 10 in multiple categories. The junior has totaled 71 bases, including nine doubles and seven home runs, all team highs. He is slashing .383/.432/.664 while adding 22 runs, 25 RBIs and five stolen bases to pace the Wolverines.
• Kurt Barr has emerged as Michigan's Friday night starter, allowing two or fewer runs in all but one outing this season. In his latest start, he gave up two runs on four hits across five innings. Barr owns team highs in innings pitched (35.0), ERA (3.60) and strikeouts (40).
• Evan Haeger tallied two home runs as part of a three-hit, three-run, three-RBI day on Saturday at Rutgers. Haeger has gone 6-for-18 over five games -- including three walks, seven runs and four RBIs. On the season, Haeger is hitting .286 with 13 runs on 20 hits with 14 RBIs. The redshirt sophomore has seen the most action in right field, but has started the past two games in centerfield.
• David Lally Jr. has shifted to the bullpen this year with five relief outings compared to three starts. Lally has been strong out of the pen, pitching 16.0 innings, allowing four runs on 13 hits with 13 strikeouts. He holds a 2.25 ERA in relief appearances with a 1.19 WHIP and .228 batting average against. Lally's most recent appearance came out of the pen, where he pitched the final 6.2 innings in a 6-2 win over Rutgers and allowed just one run on four hits with six strikeouts.
• Noah Miller has found consistency at the plate, recording at least one hit in each of the last five games. He has reached base safely in 12 straight contests, raising his average to .298 with a .431 on-base percentage. He has started 18 of the team's 27 games behind the plate.
• Gavin DeVooght ranks among the national leaders with seven saves, placing fourth in the country and second in the Big Ten. He owns a 3.38 ERA with 18 strikeouts across 21.1 innings and secured his latest save with a scoreless ninth inning against Toledo.
• Greg Pace Jr. is hitting a career-high .315 this season after .313 last year and under .175 in his first two seasons. The redshirt junior tallied two hits in both midweek contests before RBI singles on Friday and Sunday against Rutgers. Pace has five multi-hit games this season with 23 hits total. while scoring 13 runs. He has added nine RBIs with five doubles, 11 walks and four stolen bases this year while holding a .409 on-base percentage and perfect fielding percentage.
• Erik Puodziunas entered the Oakland game, with just three innings pitched with those innings coming across three outings. Puodziunas matched his career total with three innings against the Golden Grizzlies and allowed one run on two hits with five strikeouts. He got the call four days later at Rutgers and pitched 5.1 innings and struck out two, earning his first career win.
• Oregon enters the series ranked No. 15 nationally with a 23-6 record and 7-2 mark in Big Ten play. The Ducks have series wins over Purdue and Northwestern and swept Indiana. The all-time series between the two is tied, though Oregon claimed last season's matchup with U-M in Eugene. This is Oregon's second series in the Eastern time zone this season after opening Big Ten play in Purdue.
