Wolverines to Compete in Orlando Baseball Classic in 2027

KISSIMMEE, Fla. -- The University of Michigan baseball team will play in the inaugural Orlando Baseball Classic during the second weekend of the season, beginning Feb. 26.
The event will be held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort over three days. Michigan opens the event against St. John's on Friday, Feb. 26, at 11 a.m. before facing UCF at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 27. The Wolverines will finish the weekend against West Virginia on Sunday, Feb. 28, at 3 p.m. Pittsburgh and Indiana State round out the six-team field.
Three of the six teams played in the postseason last year, with West Virginia reaching the College World Series, St. John's reaching the Super Regional and UCF reaching the regional.
The Stadium at ESPN Wide World of Sports boasts 9,500 seats and opened in 1997. It served as the spring training home of the Atlanta Braves from its opening until 2019 while also hosting minor league teams, regular-season Tampa Bay Rays games and the 2006 World Baseball Classic. The Stadium also hosted the 2001 Atlantic 10 Conference baseball tournament.
