
Michigan to Take to Road for Contests at Rutgers, Penn

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 6-ranked University of Michigan women's lacrosse team (8-0, 1-0 Big Ten) travels to Piscataway, N.J., to face Rutgers (5-2, 0-1 Big Ten) on Thursday (March 14) at 6 p.m. for a Big Ten contest at SHI Stadium 6 p.m. before concluding the weekend with a non-conference contest in Philadelphia against Penn (5-0) on Saturday (Match 16) at noon. Thursday's game will be streamed live on B1G+.
Notes
• Michigan remains sixth in the IL Women/IWLCA Weekly Poll after improving to 8-0, the second-best start in program history, with wins over Ohio State and Central Michigan.
• Senior Lily Montemarano broke the U-M single-game draw-control record with 12 wins against Ohio State and added seven wins against Central Michigan. For her efforts, she was named the Big Ten Midfielder of the Week. Montemarano ranks 24th nationally with 6.12 draw control wins per game.
• With her seven stops against Ohio State, Erin O'Grady now has 100 career saves to her name, including 67 total this season. O'Grady leads the nation with a 4.63 goals-against average and has made five saves or more in seven of her eight appearances this season.
• Senior defender Maddie Burns scored her first collegiate goal against Central Michigan on her first career shot attempt.
