ROSEMONT, Ill. -- University of Michigan men's soccer graduate student Bryce Blevins earned All-Big Ten second team recognition, and freshman Kamau Brame earned All-Freshman Team honors, the Big Ten announced Friday (Nov. 8).
This marks the second career conference postseason honor for Blevins, while Brame earns the first conference nod of his collegiate tenure.
Blevins led the Wolverines with 16 points (five goals, six assists) in the regular season, during which he was the only player on the roster to start all 16 games. Blevins scored twice against Penn State to lead Michigan to a 2-1 win and tallied a penalty goal to propel the Maize and Blue to an upset win over then-No. 2 ranked Maryland.
Playing defensive midfield, Brame appeared in all 16 matches for Michigan in his first season in Ann Arbor. He was just one of five outfield players to log more than 1,000 minutes this season and provided stability on defense for the Wolverines.
Ethan Wood was Michigan's recipient the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award. Wood appeared in one match this year and tallied a scoreless 45 minutes of action against Detroit Mercy on Sept. 6.
