Wolverines Set for Friday Road Test at Northwestern

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's soccer team (2-2-2, 0-1-1 Big Ten) continues its season on the road against a conference opponent, facing Northwestern (4-3-1, 1-1-0 Big Ten) on Friday (Sept. 25) at 6:30 p.m. CT in Evanston, Ill. The match will be streamed live on B1G+.
Notes
• Michigan continues Big Ten play with a 2-2-2 record after playing to a draw against UCLA on Sept. 18.
• Senior Joao Paulo Ramos scored his first goal of the season from the penalty spot in the 63rd minute to even the score against the Bruins.
• Junior Alen Bean put together a solid performance in net for the Wolverines, making three saves against UCLA to move his season total to 16.
• Sophomore Jake Tatch nearly tied the game earlier in the second half, striking a shot to the bottom corner of the Bruin net before the UCLA keeper got down to send it away.
• Two Wolverines have earned Big Ten weekly awards this season with Grayson Elmquist named the Offensive Player of the Week (Sept. 1), and Bean named the Goalkeeper of the Week (Aug. 25).
• Ten Wolverines recorded at least one point through six matches, led by Elmquist with seven.
• Michigan and Northwestern will meet for the 33rd time. The Wolverines lead the all-time series 21-9-2.
• The Wolverines defeated the Wildcats 2-1 in their most recent meeting during the 2025 regular season.
• Following the match against Northwestern, the Wolverines return home to begin a three-game homestand against Oakland on Tuesday, Sept. 29, at 7 p.m. at U-M Soccer Stadium.
