ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's soccer team fell 1-0 to Ohio State in its final regular-season contest of the 2026 season on Wednesday (Nov. 4).
Two Wolverine seniors, Jonathan Nabaka and Stefan Momcilovic, made their 2026 season debut during the match.
Michigan (3-8-5, 0-6-4 Big Ten) leaned largely on its defense in the first half. Goalkeeper Isaiah Goldson made three saves during the first 45 minutes to counter the Buckeye pressure.
Ohio State (8-6-2, 3-6-1 Big Ten) capitalized on its offensive attack, netting the go-ahead goal in the 24th minute. Goldson and the Michigan defensive line remained strong in the second half, keeping the Wolverines within striking distance.
The Wolverines increased their offensive pressure in the second half, recording three shots, including one on target. Michigan's best scoring chance came in the closing minutes, when Grayson Elmquist's breakaway run created an open shooting chance, but the Buckeyes reached the ball first to deny the opportunity and held on defensively to close out the victory.
