ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 7-seeded University of Michigan men's soccer team (7-3-6) will open the Big Ten Tournament with a match against No. 2 seed Indiana on Thursday (Nov. 7) at noon CST at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview, Ill.
Notes
• Michigan will make its 24th consecutive trip to the Big Ten Tournament after earning a crucial 1-1 draw with Wisconsin on the final day of the regular season.
• Nolan Miller scored the game-tying goal against Wisconsin with 42 seconds remaining in the contest, capping a dominant second half for the Maize and Blue. Miller's goal was his second of the season and first game-tying goal in the second half since Jason Bucknor netted a goal against UCLA for a 3-3 draw on Sept. 21.
• Bryce Blevins finished the regular season with a team-high 16 points. He brought balance to the attack, scoring five goals and adding six assists. Blevins stepped up in the biggest games, scoring twice in the 2-1 win over Penn State on Sept. 13 and accounting for three points in the upset of No. 2 Maryland on Oct. 25.
• Isaiah Goldson continued his strong season in goal for the Wolverines, notching four saves to bolster the defense against Wisconsin. He has made four saves or more in each of his last three starts, including a career-high nine stops against then-No. 2 Maryland.
• Bucknor provides a huge spark on offense, scoring five goals and adding one assist in 14 matches during the regular season. Bucknor has shown a habit of putting Michigan in front with three of his five goals giving the Wolverines the lead.
• Beto Soto is putting together a strong debut season for Michigan, ranking second on the team with 15 points and second in the conference with nine assists. Soto's assist total is tied with recent Hall of Honor inductee Knox Cameron for third in a single season in program history.
• Michigan has won each of its last seven opening-round matches in the Big Ten Tournament dating back to 2016.
• U-M will face the Hoosiers in the league tournament for the seventh time. The teams last met in the semifinal round in 2023, with Indiana winning 4-3 in a hard-fought match.
