
U-M to Close Regular Season at Wisconsin

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's soccer team (7-3-5, 2-3-4 Big Ten) will conclude the 2024 regular season with a matchup at Wisconsin (7-5-2, 2-5-2 Big Ten) on Sunday (Nov. 3) at 1 p.m. CST at  McClimon Track/Soccer Complex in Madison.
Notes
• Michigan enters the weekend ranked seventh in the Big Ten standings with seven teams earning a berth in the Big Ten Tournament. The Wolverines can cement their place in the tournament with a win over Sunday.
• U-M is coming off its biggest win of the season, defeating the then-No. 2 ranked Maryland 2-0 on Friday (Oct. 25). The victory marked the first over a top-five team since Michigan defeated No. 4 Akron 1-0 in 2011.
• Isaiah Goldson put on a tremendous performance in goal for the Maize and Blue, tallying a career-high nine saves against Maryland to preserve the clean sheet, setting the tone early with a penalty save. For his efforts, Goldson was named TopDrawerSoccer's Player of the Week.
• Bryce Blevins led the Wolverines on offense in the upset of Maryland, assisting on the first goal before scoring the second from the penalty spot. Blevins now paces the team in points with 16 and is the lone player to start and play all 15 matches this season.
• Jason Bucknor is tied with Blevins for the team lead in goals with five in 13 games played. Bucknor's best performance of the season came on Sept. 21 when he scored twice to propel Michigan to a crucial 3-3 draw at UCLA.
• Patrick O'Toole scored his first career goal in the win over Maryland. He is the eighth different player to score a goal this season for the Maize and Blue.
• Beto Soto checks in at second on the roster with 15 points and leads the Wolverines with nine assists. Soto's assist total is tied for third in program history for a single season with program legend Knox Cameron.
• Michigan will face Wisconsin for the 34th time in program history; the Wolverines lead the series, 17-9-7. The two teams battled to a 1-1 draw last season.
