Lora Clarke (April 12)
Big Ten Freshman of the Week -- Freshman Lora Clarke scored the game-winning goal in the waning seconds of the third quarter in U-M's 2-1 win at No. 11 Maryland on Saturday (April 10) and assisted on the the Wolverines' first and game-winning in the second quarter of Sunday's game (April 11). Both the goal and the assist were the first of Clarke's collegiate career. » Big Ten Release
Kathryn Peterson, Anna Spieker (March 29)
Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week -- Junior Kathryn Peterson netted both of U-M's clinching goals in its pair of 1-0 wins against No. 10 Rutgers last weekend. She scored the game-winning goal in the fourth round of Friday's shootout and tallied the only goal off a second-quarter penalty corner on Sunday. Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week -- Junior goalkeeper Anna Spieker posted a pair of shutout wins against Rutgers, with eight total saves on the weekend, including six in the series finale. In Friday's shootout, she made three consecutive saves to help U-M win in the fourth round of attempts. It is her first career Big Ten weekly honor. » Big Ten Release
Halle O'Neill, Sarah Pyrtek, Kathryn Peterson (Feb. 24)
Big Ten Preseason Watch List -- Senior Halle O'Neill, junior Kathryn Peterson and sophomore Sarah Pyrtek were selected as Michigan's representatives on the Big Ten's preseason Players to Watch list. O'Neill is a two-time NFHCA all-region selection, who has started 62 games over the last three seasons and headlined the Wolverines' sterling defensive unit at center back. Peterson also was an NFHCA all-region honoree last season at midfield; she owns nine goals and nine assists and is the Wolverines' primary insert on the attack-corner unit. Pyrtek posted two goals, including the late game-winner against Cal, and an assist in an injury-shortened season last year. » Big Ten Release
