
Four Wolverines Named to IWLCA Honor Roll

GRAND LAKE, Colo. -- University of Michigan women's lacrosse seniors Megan Schulte and Ariana Vespa along with juniors Chandler Kirby and Bronwyn Shields have been named to the 2019 Zag Sports Division I Academic Honor Roll as announced Wednesday (July 24) by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA).
Schulte, a two-time IWLCA Honor Roll member and three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree, graduated with a degree in business administration, while Vespa -- a two-time IWLCA Honor Roll member, a three-time Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and a three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree -- graduated with a degree in political science and will attend Ross School of Business in the fall to begin work on her master's degree.
Kirby is a two-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree and will finish her degree in political science this year, while Shields rounds out the group as a two-time Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and a two-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree who will graduate next year with a degree in environment.
The IWLCA honored 501 student-athletes from 99 institutions on the 2019 Division I list. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior or graduate student and have earned a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or greater.
