
Garrett Named to 2019 U.S. Women's National Team for Fall Classic

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Senior Molly Garrett of the University of Michigan women's lacrosse team is one of the 27 players that will represent the United States women's national team in the 2019 Fall Classic, it was announced Thursday (Oct. 3). Garrett is one of five collegiate players named to the training roster that will play in the event, which is scheduled for Oct. 18-20 at US Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Maryland.
The reigning world champion United States will take on 2017 silver medal winner Canada on Friday, Oct. 18, at 6 p.m., before it battles defending NCAA champion Maryland on Saturday, Oct. 19, at 11:30 a.m. Team USA will finish off the weekend Sunday, Oct. 20, with an exhibition against Canada at 1:45 p.m.
Garrett was one of four Wolverines who started all 20 games in 2019, and she posted 29 goals, including a career-best six against Northwestern (May 3) in the Big Ten Tournament. She also was named to the Tewaaraton Watch List and the Big Ten All-Tournament team.
