Michigan to Hold Open Tryouts on Tuesday, Sept. 23

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's lacrosse team will hold open tryouts for all interested and enrolled female students on Tuesday, Sept. 23, at 2 p.m. inside Oosterbaan Field House. All participants must provide their own equipment, including mouth guard, goggles, stick and footware appropriate for FieldTurfTM.
All interested students must email Alec Zimmerman (zimmalec@umich.edu) by Friday, Sept. 19, at noon with their name and U-M ID number to notify the staff of your intent to participate in the open tryout.
The medical requirements for a student looking to try out are as follows (see attached PDF document for all required forms):
• Completed Tryout Clearance Form
• Completed Personal Information Sheet
• Copy of front and back of current health insurance card
• Completed Tryout Release and Waiver of Liability Form
• Documentation of Sickle Cell Trait test OR signed sickle cell trait testing waiver
• Documentation of a physical examination by a licensed physician (MD or DO) within the last six (6) months that clears the prospective tryout student-athlete to participate in intercollegiate athletics.
All required documents must be completed and turned into Alec Zimmerman in Weidenbach Hall by Friday, Sept. 19, at noon in order to participate.
