Wolverines to Finish Up Regular Season Sunday at OSU
Why hello there,
Did you miss me? I bet you did. I decided to lay low and take a mini hiatus due to my newfound celebrity status on campus -- the fans won't stay away. But why would they want to? In case you didn't already hear, Team 42 has been having a phenomenal season!
After taking down fellow B1G rival Northwestern in the torrential, downpouring rain, the energy we felt amongst ourselves was palpable. We harnessed that feeling and brought it to practice every day the following week leading up to our next game against Michigan State. Unfortunately, the momentum shifted in favor of our opponents, and we were unable to rally for a victory. However, as we always strive to look on the bright side of things, we put our heartbreaking loss to Michigan State behind us and prepared for UNH, our last home match and Senior Day.
In true fashion, the seniors took charge of that game as Emy Guttman and Ainsley McCallister netted our three goals for the match. It also happened to be Emy's 21st birthday, so that extra year of wisdom definitely showed in her play. Following the exciting victory, the team and the family members in town gathered for our Senior Day celebration, where the entire team was able to express our gratitude toward our team leaders. In true B1G fashion, we also ate multiple servings of Chipotle. Big Ten, Big Girls. #BGC.
As our regular season approaches its end, we have been extensively preparing for our upcoming match against Ohio State. We have been practicing hard and have our minds set on a strong finish to the Big Ten and regular season. After that, we will return home to Ann Arbor to host the Big Ten Tournament, something that we are all extremely excited about. We are thrilled to be able to showcase our new facility to the entire Big Ten Conference, and we're excited for the tournament to get underway.

On another note, one of my all-time favorite holidays is today and I'm so excited. As many of us already know, Halloween is the one night of the year when girls can dress up as ... well, we all know how that one ends. Anyway, with Halloween also comes many other of my favorite things, such as: candy corn, costumes, Halloween Town (and Halloween Town 2: Calibar's Revenge, a fan favorite amongst many members of the team), ABC Family's 13 Nights of Halloween, Hocus Pocus -- all are always accompanied with stuffing my face with as much candy as humanely possible. I have always taken pride in my effort to find the best costume I can, and I have truly worn some classics over the years. In light of practice falling on Halloween morning, our team has chosen to enjoy the spirit of the holiday and wore costumes to practice (see above).
I hope you all have an incredible Halloween weekend, eat more candy than you thought possible, and wherever you may be, always remember to Go Blue!
