• Sunday's win over Penn State is the ninth straight win for the Wolverines -- the best since a nine-game winning streak in 2010 (March 19 - April 3). The Wolverines had a 16-game win streak in 2008.
• Michigan's back-to-back Big Ten sweeps of Michigan State and Penn State the past two weekends mark the first consecutive Wolverine conference sweeps since 2008 when U-M swept Iowa (four games, March 29-30, Penn State (four games, April 4-6), Illinois (four games, April 11-13) and Michigan State (four games, April 18-20).
• Freshman SS Travis Maezes, who is hitting .308 (41-for-133), was 3-for-4 with three singles, four runs scored and his 11th stolen base of the season for his 10th multi-hit game of the season.
• Maezes, who is hitting .459 (17-for-37) in Big Ten play, shares the team lead with four three-hit games.
• Freshman 2B/RHP Jacob Cronenworth, who is hitting .339 (42-for-124), was 2-for-3 with two singles, two walks and three RBI.
• Cronenworth, who leads the team with 26 RBI, has 10 multi-hit games this season.
• Cronenworth has hits in 18 of his last 19 games, and he has reached base in 19 consecutive games.
• Junior OF Michael O'Neill, who is hitting .368 (53-for-144), was 3-for-3 with three singles, two RBI, two stolen bases, a walk, a HBP and a run scored.
• O'Neill's third inning RBI-single snapped a 1-1 tie and proved to be his fourth game-winning RBI of the season. He shares the season gamer lead at four with sophomore OF Kyle Jusick. O'Neill is Michigan's active career leader with 10 gamers.
• O'Neill leads the team with a personal season-best 19 multi-hit games in 2013, and he has 51 career multiple-hit games.
• O'Neill has hits in 28 of the 34 games this season and in 32 of his last 38 games dating back to last season.
• O'Neill's two stolen bases give him a team-leading total of 15 for the season, and he ranks fifth on Michigan's career stolen base list with 64, one shy of Steve Finken (1986-88), who is fourth on the list with 65 steals. Jim Durham (74 steals, 1986-89) is third on the list.
• Sophomore RHP Matt Ogden (5-0, 1.93 ERA, one save) pitched six scoreless innings in relief, allowing three hits as he recorded his fifth win of the season and second of the weekend. He had two wins and a save (vs. Notre Dame) to account for three of U-M's four wins during the week.
• Ogden (8-4) has eight career wins in his 12 decisions in 32 career appearances (two starts) as a Wolverine.
• Freshman 1B Jack Sexton, who is hitting .237 (23-for-97), was 2-for-3 with a double, a single and two walks. He has six multi-hit games and three doubles this season.
