Hillman Nets NFHCA All-America First Team Honors

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The National Field Hockey Coaches Association announced Tuesday (Nov. 22) that University of Michigan senior Lori Hillman (Gibbsboro, N.J./Eastern Regional HS) is one of 16 collegiate student-athletes named to its 2005 NCAA Division I All-America first team. It is the second All-America citation for Hillman in her career, adding to her third-team recognition in 2004.

Hillman, the Big Ten Tournament's Most Valuable Player, was also an All-West Region first team choice for the second time after registering one goal and nine assists for 11 points while quarterbacking the Michigan defense, which limited opponents to just 1.89 goals per game and posted five shutouts.
Michigan (16-8, 3-3 Big Ten) concluded the 2005 campaign with its seventh straight NCAA Tournament appearance. The Wolverines also won the Big Ten Tournament for the third time in program history.
