
Michigan to Head to Houston for Neutral-Site Clash with No. 5 Harvard

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's lacrosse team (3-3) travels to Houston, Texas, on Saturday (March 7) to take on its third straight ranked opponent in No. 5 Harvard (4-0) at Kinkaid High School at 2 p.m. CT. The game will be streamed live on Corrigan Sports Network.
Notes
• The Wolverines move to 3-3 overall on the season after falling to No. 17 Denver on the road. Michigan battled throughout, tying the game at halftime and pulling within two goals in the third quarter.
• Michigan faces its third straight ranked opponent in No. 5 Harvard and its first top-five foe this season. U-M and Harvard meet for the fifth time in program history, with the last meeting coming in 2025.
• CJ Reilly, Nick Roode and Luke Shannehan each scored two goals for the Maize and Blue at No. 17 Denver, while Jack Jenkins added a goal and two assists. Shannehan led the offense with four points, adding two assists to his stat line, and Adam Udell contributed a goal and an assist.
• Shannehan leads the U-M offense with 24 points, including 17 goals and seven assists. The freshman attacker has five multi-point games with two five-goal performances. In his last outing, Shannehan recorded four points with two goals and two assists.
• Michigan set a program record to open the 2026 season by scoring 24 goals against Mercyhurst. The Wolverines broke the previous program record of 23 goals in a single game set on Feb. 22, 2022, against Canisius. U-M went on a 14-1 run to open the game and finished with another 10 straight goals in the decisive victory.
• Junior Kevin Kearns has been named Michigan's male nominee for the Big Ten Jackie Robinson Community & Impact Award. Kearns founded and organized a nationwide College Lacrosse 9/11 Stair Climb, where the men's and women's lacrosse teams ran 110 flights of stairs in the Big House, raising $80,000 for families of FDNY first responders through the Michael J. Cawley Memorial Foundation. He is a 2025-26 Team Impact Fellow, taking charge of welcoming Lukas as a member of the Michigan men's lacrosse family for the upcoming spring season.
• Michigan will play its fourth straight road contest when it travels to Notre Dame on Saturday (March 14) for a noon matchup in South Bend.
