ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's soccer team (3-6-1, 0-2-1 Big Ten) hits the road this week to match up with Nebraska (5-0-5, 0-0-3 Big Ten) on Thursday (Sept. 25) at 8 p.m. CT in Barbara Hibner Stadium. The Big Ten clash will be streamed live on B1G+.
Notes
• Michigan boasts an 11-2-3 record against Nebraska, and has won four of the past five meetings. The Wolverines have never lost in Lincoln (5-0-1) and sport the second-best winning percentage against the Cornhuskers among current Big Ten foes.
• Senior goalkeeper Sophie Homan has logged three clean sheets this season and ranks third in the Big Ten with 30 total saves. She has matched her career high with six saves twice so far in 2025 and was voted Big Ten Goalkeeper of the week two weeks ago.
• Forwards Elle Ervin and Gabrielle Prych combine to make up the sixth highest goal-scoring duo in the Big Ten. They account for eight of Michigan's 11 goals, with a team-high four each.
• Ervin started the season hot with goals in each of the first four games -- the longest streak of her career. The sophomore is tied for 10th in the conference with 10 points, also leading the team with new personal bests in shots (27) and shots on target (13).
• It has been a breakout year for the Wolverines, as Lilley Bosley, Ella Jablinskey and Josie Owen-Kren have all recorded their first goals in maize and blue this season.
• U-M's stout schedule in 2025 has a combined 52-30-12 mark with all but two opponents owning a winning record. The Wolverines have played four opponents that were ranked or received votes in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 poll, two inside the top six, and have one more ranked foe on the schedule.
• Nebraska is undefeated this season and opened Big Ten play with draws against Minnesota, No. 8 Penn State and No. 22 Ohio State. They have two double-digit point scorers in Kayma Carpenter (12) and Reagan Raabe (10).
• Michigan will return to U-M Soccer Stadium on Sunday (Sept. 28) to take on Minnesota at 1 p.m. on B1G+.
