
U-M to Host No. 14 Johns Hopkins in Ranked Clash

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 19-ranked University of Michigan men's lacrosse team (5-4, 1-0 Big Ten) will continue conference play when it meets No. 14 Johns Hopkins (6-3, 0-1 Big Ten) at 2 p.m. on Saturday (March 29) inside the U-M Lacrosse Stadium. The ranked contest kicks off a two-game homestand for the Maize and Blue and is the first of three consecutive games airing live on Big Ten Network.
Notes
• The Wolverines will face their sixth ranked opponent of the season in No. 14 Johns Hopkins, their fourth straight matchup with a ranked foe. This Saturday's game marks the first time Michigan is back in the USILA Coaches Poll since being ranked 20 on March 8.
• Senior Ryan Cohen hit the 100 career goals mark last weekend against top-ranked Maryland, joining Michael Boehm, Josh Zawada and Brent Noseworthy as the only Wolverines to accomplish the feat. The 2025 Tewaaraton Award Watch List honoree is also the third Michigan player to record 200 career points, and he is just 25 points away from tying the program record.
• Sophomore Nick Roode helped seal the win over Maryland, netting the game-winner in the third overtime for his 13th point in his last four outings. Roode is one of six Wolverines riding point streaks into the weekend, including Cohen who has logged a point in each of his 57 career games played.
• Cohen, the program leader for career assists, and sophomore Jack Jenkins are both in the top 10 in the Big Ten for points this season. Jenkins is tied for eighth with 24 while Cohen is second with 31. Â
• The same duo is included in the Big Ten's top-five assists leaders. Cohen leads the conference with 20 apples and Jenkins is in a tie for fifth with 11.
• Junior Mason Whitney and senior Kees van Wees are in the top five for most caused turnovers in the Big Ten. Whitney sits in fourth with 14 while Van Wees is tied for fifth with 13.
• Michigan is second in the conference and tied for eighth in the country with 90 caused turnovers in 2025. The Wolverines have caused 10 turnovers per game, the 13th best mark in the nation.
• U-M is looking to begin Big Ten play with a 2-0 record for the first time.
