
Wolverines to Continue Homestand with Northwestern, Detroit Mercy

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 13-ranked University of Michigan men's soccer team (8-2-3, 5-1-2 Big Ten) continues its four-match homestand this week, hosting Northwestern (6-4-3, 1-3-2 Big Ten) on Friday (Oct. 24) and Detroit Mercy (5-7-2, 2-3-1 Horizon) on Tuesday (Oct. 28) for Senior Night at U-M Soccer Stadium. Both matches will stream live on B1G+.
Notes
• U-M is coming off a week featuring two conference victories: a 3-1 win over Ohio State (Oct. 14) and a 3-0 clean sheet against UCLA (Oct. 17).
• Tuesday's win at Ohio State was Michigan's first in Columbus since 2019 and marked the most goals in a victory over the Buckeyes since 2018.
• Grayson Elmquist scored twice against Ohio State, bringing his season total to four goals.
• Michael Ramirez recorded seven points on the week, with a goal and assist against OSU and two goals against UCLA. He's tied for the team lead with five goals, tied for third in the Big Ten.
• Quin Rogers converted a penalty against UCLA, matching Ramirez's five-goal total. Rogers leads the Big Ten with four penalty goals (4-for-4 in 2025).
• Matthew Fisher and Dylan Davis each tallied an assist, while Nicholas Cassiday added two helpers. All three are tied for the team lead with four assists.
• Isaiah Goldson allowed just one goal last week and recorded his sixth shutout of the season, second-most in the Big Ten.
• Michigan is 20-9-2 all-time against Northwestern and has won six straight home matches over the Wildcats, dating back to 2013.
• U-M meets Detroit Mercy for the 21st time and enters on a seven-match unbeaten streak against the Titans.
• Up next, Michigan will close out its home schedule against Wisconsin on Friday (Oct. 31) for Kick or Treat at U-M Soccer Stadium. Fans attending in Halloween costumes will receive candy during the match.
