
U-M Earns Top-8 Seed in NCAA Tournament, Will Host Bowling Green in First Round

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The recently crowned Big Ten Tournament champion University of Michigan women's soccer team earned a berth into the 2021 NCAA Tournament, the association announced Monday (Nov. 8). Michigan (15-3-3) earned a two-seed, which marks the highest seed in program history, and will host the Bowling Green Falcons in the first round on Friday (Nov. 12) at 6 p.m. at U-M Soccer Stadium.
Tickets go on sale at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday (Nov. 9), and may be purchased online at MGoBlue.com/tickets, by phone (734-764-0247 or 1-866-296-6849) or in person at the U-M Ticket Office (1000 S. State St.).
Tickets are priced at $8 for reserved seats, $6 for general admission, and $3 for students. Groups of 10 or more can purchase tickets for $3 each.
Michigan is coming off its first Big Ten Tournament title since 1999 and concluded the regular season and Big Ten Tournament with a 15-3-3 record.
The NCAA berth is the 15th in program history. U-M is 11-0-1 all-time in NCAA Tournament matches contested at home, and 3-0-1 in matches played at U-M Soccer Stadium.
Michigan has now made the NCAA Tournament in two of three fall seasons under fourth-year head coach Jennifer Klein. She is 2-1 in the tournament as a head coach, and is 11-5 overall in her coaching career as as associate and assistant coach at USC and assistant coach at Washington State.
U-M is 4-0 all-time versus Bowling Green, and defeated the Falcons 2-1 on Aug. 22 in Ann Arbor behind an own goal and a marker from senior Nicki Hernandez.
