
Martin Earns All-District Second Team Honor

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Senior Reilly Martin of the University of Michigan women's soccer team was named one of 13 members the Google Cloud Academic All-District Five second team, the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced on Thursday (Nov. 8).
To be eligible, nominated student-athletes must be a starter or important reserve with a minimum 3.30 cumulative grade-point average, in her second year at the current institution and must have played in at least 50 percent of the team's games. Michigan has had at least one student-athlete on the list since 2008.
The honor marked the second for the Carmel, Indiana, native, as she was a first team selection following the 2016 campaign.
Over her career, Martin netted 21 goals and notched 24 assists to tally 66 points and scored four game-winners for Michigan. She became just the fourth player in program history to collect 20 goals and 20 assists. For her efforts on the field, she was named to the All-Big Ten second team twice and third team once, the Big Ten All-Freshman team and Michigan Co-Offensive MVP. Martin is a two-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree and a U-M Athletic Academic Achievement Award recipient.
Martin will graduate in the spring of 2019 with a bachelor's degree in psychology and a minor in nutrition with a focus on food in the environment.
