
Turner Named to ABCA All-Region Team

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Junior second baseman Colby Turner of the University of Michigan baseball team was named to the All- American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings NCAA Division I All-Region Team for the Midwest region, it was announced Tuesday (June 9).
Turner was selected to the All-Big Ten first team at second base after leading the Wolverines in most hitting statistics over the 2026 season. He batted .366 with a .432 on-base percentage and a .625 slugging percentage and tallied 32 extra base hits with 18 doubles and 14 home runs. He started 57 of 58 games this season, seeing action mostly at second base but also playing in the outfield and at first base. Turner has 145 total bases and is one of two Wolverines over 100, while adding a team-leading 57 runs and 55 RBI. Turner has also added a team-leading 12 stolen bases.
Turner is the second Wolverine second baseman to garner ABCA All-Region first team honors following Mitch Voit last season. Two other Wolverines have earned Midwest first-team honors since Michigan shifted to the region in 2021. Fourteen Wolverines earned Mideast first team honors, including two at second base in Chris Getz and Jacob Cronenworth.
