
Wolverines Announce 2026 Schedule

• U-M 2026 Women's Soccer Schedule
ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's soccer team announced its 18-game schedule for the upcoming fall season on Wednesday (June 3), with nine matches set for the U-M Soccer Stadium.
Michigan will face 11 teams that made the 2025 NCAA Tournament and start on the road for the second straight season. U-M will play six non-conference matches, with the Big Ten schedule expanding to 12 matches for the upcoming season.
U-M will start with a two-game swing in Utah, facing Utah Valley (Aug. 13) and Utah State (Aug. 16) to kick off the 2026 season. Three of Michigan's remaining non-conference matches will be at UMSS.
Michigan starts Big Ten play with three straight on the road, coming at Northwestern (Sept. 10), Illinois (Sept. 13) and a rivalry match at Michigan State (Sept. 20). The Wolverines close the regular season with three consecutive matches at home, capping the season against Ohio State on Oct. 30.
The Maize and Blue will play a pair of exhibition games before starting the season at Detroit Mercy (Aug. 5) and Loyola Chicago in Ann Arbor (Aug. 8).
The 2026 season marks the first for head coach Dave DiIanni, who spent the last 12 seasons at Iowa and won three NCAA Division II national championships at Grand Valley State. He is 19th among active women's soccer head coaches with 346 wins over his 23-year head coaching career, compiling a 346-100-48 (.749) record at Grand Valley State (2003-13) and Iowa (2014-25). His career .749 winning percentage ranks third among current head coaches.
