
Michigan to Return to Ann Arbor for Pair of Big Ten Contests

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- After knocking off the No. 1-ranked team in the nation, the No. 20-ranked University of Michigan women's soccer team (4-1-3, 2-1-1 Big Ten) opens the home portion of its Big Ten schedule at U-M Soccer Stadium. The Wolverines will host No. 18 Washington (7-0-2, 2-0-1 Big Ten) on Thursday (Sept. 24) at 7 p.m. for its Block Out Cancer game, then welcome Nebraska (2-2-5, 0-1-2 Big Ten) on Sunday (Sept. 27) at 1 p.m., when U-M will recognize its alumni. Both matches will be streamed live on B1G+.

• Ella Jablinskey recorded five points with two goals and an assist in Michigan's road win over then-No. 1 Michigan State, contributing to all three U-M goals. For her efforts, she was named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday (Sept. 22).
• Michigan made history in East Lansing with its 3-1 victory over MSU, which marked the program's first-ever win over the nation's top-ranked team, its first ranked victory of the season and head coach Dave DiIanni's 350th career win.
• Big Ten Goalkeeper and Freshman of the Week Malia Zillman made a season-high eight saves while playing all 90 minutes against the Spartans, including seven saves in a scoreless first half.
• Michigan checks in at No. 20 in the IWSOC Poll, marking the Wolverines' first national ranking since 2023, when they were ranked No. 14 in the country.
• Ellie Fife played all 90 minutes against the Spartans, helping anchor a Michigan defense that held MSU to one goal despite facing 21 shots.
• U-M has scored 11 of its 13 goals this season in the second half, including Maya Raghunandanan's first collegiate goal against the Spartans.
• The Wolverines welcome Washington to U-M Soccer Stadium for the third time in program history. In the Huskies' last trip to Ann Arbor, Michigan earned a 2-0 victory.
• The Maize and Blue hold a 12-2-3 all-time record against the Cornhuskers and have won the last two meetings by scores of 3-2 and 2-1.
• Following its two-game homestand, Michigan will hit the road for Bloomington, Ind., to take on Indiana on Sunday (Oct. 4) at noon. The match will be broadcast live on Big Ten Network.
