
Michigan to Travel to No. 18 Rutgers for Penultimate Regular-Season Contest

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 14-ranked University of Michigan men's lacrosse team (6-5, 2-1 Big Ten) travels to Piscataway, N.J., for a Sunday (April 13) matchup against No. 18 Rutgers (6-6, 2-1 Big Ten) at noon in the squad's final road regular-season game of the season. The Wolverines' sixth straight ranked matchup will air live on Big Ten Network from SHI Stadium.

• U-M will face its eighth ranked opponent of the season in No. 18 Rutgers. The Wolverines have played the 12th-toughest schedule in the country, with each of their last six contests coming against opponents slotted in the USILA top 20.
• Senior Ryan Cohen continues to etch his name in the Michigan lacrosse record books after becoming the third player to hit the 100 career goals mark and the third Wolverine to record 200 career points. The 2025 Tewaaraton Award Watch List honoree is 20 points away from tying the program record for most in a career.
• Cohen, the program career assists leader, is second in the Big Ten with 36 points and first in the conference, totaling 22 helpers through 11 games. His two-per-game average ranks first in the Big Ten and 21st in the country.
• Four Wolverines carry point streaks into the meeting with Rutgers, led by Cohen, who has earned a tally in each of his 59 career games. Graduate student Lukas Stanat has poured in 21 points in his last nine games, followed by senior Emmett Houlihan, who has scored a goal in four straight contests. Sophomore Bo Lockwood has also added four points in his last three games.
• U-M boasts three players ranked in the top 10 of the Big Ten for caused turnovers. Junior Mason Whitney ranks second with 19, followed by graduate student Pace Billings in sixth (15) and senior Kees van Wees, who is tied for seventh (14).
• The U-M defense has caused 110 turnovers, the second most in the Big Ten and the eighth most in the NCAA. With three defenders in the top seven for most takeaways in the conference, the Wolverines earned the second spot in the Inside Lacrosse midseason defensive efficiency ratings.
• Junior goalie Hunter Taylor became just the second player in program history to make 300 career saves and ranks second for most saves in a career with 361. He has added five double-digit-save outings this year in search of his second straight 100-stop season.
• The Maize and Blue's upcoming matchup with No. 2 Ohio State at U-M Lacrosse Stadium on April 19 is the final regular-season contest of the season, a game with potential conference-title implications.
