The University of Michigan men's soccer team rebounded in 2024, notching multiple ranked wins and earning an NCAA Tournament berth for the first time in five years. The Wolverines advanced to the Big Ten Tournament final for the first time in five years and won an NCAA Tournament match for the first time in 12 years.

Team Highlights
• The Maize and Blue kicked off the 2024 season with a seven-game homestand and went 5-0-2 in those matches. Michigan opened the campaign with a 1-0 win over Loyola Chicago on Aug. 22 and started Big Ten play with a 2-1 victory over Penn State, its first win over the Nittany Lions in five years.
• U-M tallied its biggest win of the regular season, a 2-0 win over then-No. 2 Maryland on Oct. 25. Patrick O'Toole opened the scoring with his first career goal before Bryce Blevins converted his second penalty of the season to cushion the lead and give the Wolverines their first win over a top-five team since 2011.
• After drawing with Wisconsin to earn a place in the Big Ten Tournament, Michigan downed No. 6 Indiana 1-0 in the quarterfinal then outlasted UCLA in a 4-3 penalty shootout win in the semifinal to advance to Big Ten Tournament championship match for the first time in five seasons.
• The Wolverines were selected for the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2019 and defeated Robert Morris 1-0 in the first round in Ann Arbor, its first outright win in the tournament since 2012.

Individual Highlights
• Bryce Blevins led the way for the Wolverines on offense in 2024, posting 19 points with five goals and nine assists -- the most points by a Michigan player since Nebojsa Popovic, who tallied 24. Blevins saved his best performance in the biggest matches, scoring twice in the win over Penn State and notching a goal and an assist in the upset of No. 2 Maryland. Blevins was instrumental in the Wolverines' run in the Big Ten Tournament, assisting on both of U-M's goals in regulation and burying a penalty in the shootout win over UCLA in the semifinal round. For his efforts, Blevins was named to the All-Big Ten second team.
• Beto Soto made an immediate impact in his first year in Ann Arbor, matching Blevins' total in assists with nine in 2024. Soto tallied at least one point in 10 consecutive matches stretching from Aug. 25 to Oct. 8. Soto notched a multi-assist outing in the 3-3 draw against UCLA, including a helper on the game-tying score by Jason Bucknor in the waning moments of the match.
• Bucknor paced the team in goals in 2024, scoring six in 17 starts. After missing the season opener, Bucknor notched his first tally of the season against Oakland on Aug. 25. He had a career game against UCLA on Sept. 21, scoring twice and leading the Maize and Blue to a 3-3 draw. Bucknor's biggest goal of the season came against No. 2-seeded Indiana in the Big Ten Tournament quarterfinal as he blasted a shot past the keeper into the upper-right corner of the goal to give Michigan the win.
• Nolan Miller emerged as the leader of the Michigan defense. He started 20 matches and logged 1,659 minutes for the Maize and Blue at centerback. Beyond his defense, Miller also contributed on the offensive side of the ball with two goals. His biggest goal came with 42 seconds remaining in a match against Wisconsin on Nov. 3, giving Michigan a 1-1 draw and sending the Wolverines to the Big Ten Tournament.
