
Men's Soccer to Conclude Road Swing at Oakland

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's soccer team (1-2-3) will wrap up its four-game road swing on Tuesday (Sept. 19) when it makes the short trip to Oakland University for a 7 p.m. contest on ESPN+.
Notes:
• The Wolverines opened Big Ten Conference with a 2-2 tie at Maryland and earned a quality point in the Big Ten standings to start the season.
• Michigan is averaging 1.33 goals per game scoring at least one goal in each of its first six matches of the season and averages 10.8 shots per game.
• Junior Michael Leon has come into his junior season strong and healthy, making an appearance in all six matches and recording a point in the last three games for Michigan. Leon scored his first collegiate goal at Bowling Green and followed it up with an assist at Creighton. The junior midfielder added his second goal of the season against Maryland and ties for a team-best five points with senior Bryce Blevins.
• Freshman Alex Waggoner has scored two goals for the Wolverines as he added his second on the road at Creighton. The Santa Fe, N.M. native ranks third for Michigan with four points on the season and has a .727 shots on goal percentage putting eight of his 11 shots on frame.
• Freshman Isaiah Goldson played his first minutes between the pipes at Creighton as he came in in the second half of action. The Oakville, Ontario, Canada native stopped all four shots he faced in his first career appearance. Following his strong performance at Creighton, Goldson earned the start at Maryland in the Big Ten opener and made three saves.
