
Wolverines to Travel to Ohio State for B1G Matchup

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's soccer team (2-3-5, 1-0-3 Big Ten) will travel to Columbus, Ohio, for a Big Ten matchup against Ohio State (3-4-2, 1-2-0 Big Ten) on Friday (Oct. 6) at 7 p.m., with the contest to be streamed live on B1G+.
Notes
• Michigan remains unbeaten in Big Ten play and is tied for third with Wisconsin in the conference standings at six points after a 1-1 draw against the Badgers on Sunday (Oct. 1).
• The Wolverines have started at least five true freshmen in all 10 matches and have played nine true freshman overall this season. Michigan has both Matthew Fisher and Will Baker starting on the backline and Isaiah Goldson in goal, while Duilio Herrera, Joao Paulo Ramos and Alex Waggoner have each earned at least three starts on offense.
• Ramos has started three of the last four matches and tallied four points with goals against Oakland and Wisconsin. The freshman midfielder has totaled 361 minutes on the pitch and is tied for third for the Wolverines with five points this season.
• Baker and Fisher have been steady on the backline as each has started nine of 10 matches and have helped the Wolverines to two shutouts. Goalkeeper Goldson has started each of the last five matches and has tallied 22 saves. He made a career-best seven saves en route to his first career shutout at Indiana and carries a .759 save percentage.
• Waggoner has scored three goals, including the game-tying tally against Rutgers. He ranks second for U-M with six points, having played in all 10 matches and making nine starts.
• Captain Bryce Blevins continues to lead Michigan with a team-best eight points after adding his third goal of the season on a penalty kick against Rutgers. He has started all 10 matches and ranks second with 815 minutes on the pitch.
