• All-Big Ten Awards Include Program First for Rowlett; Zawada Also Honored (4/30/21)
Josh Zawada (May 9)
All-Big Ten Tournament Team -- Sophomore Josh Zawada was named to 10-player All-Big Ten Tournament team, becoming the first Wolverine to garner the accolade. Zawada led U-M in its run to the Big Ten semifinals with six total points. In the 16-8 semifinal defeat against No. 1 Maryland, he scored twice and dished out two assists to go with five shots. At Ohio State in the first round, he marked a goal and an assist on six shots and had a pair of groundball pickups in U-M's 15-11 win over the Buckeyes. » Big Ten Release
Michael Boehm (April 27)
Big Ten Freshman of the Week -- Michael Boehm was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week for the first time of his career after scoring two goals and four assists for six points in a 13-12 loss to No. 8 Rutgers on Sunday (April 25). The four assists tied the U-M record for assists in a single contest. Two of the four helpers came in crunch time in the fourth quarter on goals from Bryce Clay and Avery Myers. The last U-M freshman to earn the conference honor was Josh Zawada on Feb. 11, 2020. » Big Ten Release
John Kiracofe (April 6)
Big Ten Co-Specialist of the Week -- Junior John Kiracofe was named Big Ten Specialist of the Week for the second time this season and his career. Kiracofe made 16 saves against 10 goals allowed (62 percent) in U-M's 13-10 win over Johns Hopkins -- the program's first against JHU -- on Sunday (April 4). He faced 38 shots and was part of a U-M defensive effort that held the Blue Jays scoreless for nearly 20 minutes. » Big Ten Release
Bryce Clay, John Kiracofe (March 23)
USILA Team of the Week -- Junior Bryce Clay was named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Team of the Week for his performance against Penn State. (March 20). Clay garnered the honor for his five-goal performance in U-M's 14-12 win over the Nittany Lions. He took 10 shots and scored two of U-M's final three goals. He is the second player in program history to earn a spot on the team (Brent Noseworthy; March 27, 2018).
Big Ten Specialist of the Week -- Junior John Kiracofe was named Big Ten Specialist of the Week for the first time in his career. He made a career-high 17 saves and boasted a save percentage of .590 in U-M's 14-12 win over Penn State (March 20), facing 41 shots as U-M allowed its fewest goals to an opponent on the season. The honor the first for a Michigan goalie since Gerald Logan during the 2016 season. » Big Ten Release
Nick Rowlett (March 9)
Big Ten Specialist of the Week – Junior Nick Rowlett was named Big Ten Specialist of the Week for the first time in his career. Rowlett set new U-M program records for faceoff wins in a contest with 25, and in ground balls with 16. The last Wolverine to earn Big Ten Specialist of the Week honors was Gerald Logan (Feb. 17, 2016). » Big Ten Release
