ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's soccer team will conclude its 2021 regular season Tuesday night (Oct. 26) when it makes the trip to Ohio State for a 6Â p.m. contest on the Big Ten Network.
Wolverine Bites
• Michigan has made its way into the top three in the Big Ten Conference with 13 points, while Indiana sits in first with 15 points. The Wolverines are tied with Maryland (13 points), while Penn State is in fourth with 12 points.
• Senior Marc Ybarra holds the Michigan record appearing in 88 career games with 87 starts, while Umar Farouk Osman ranks second all-time with 84 appearances and ranks sixth all-time with 74 career starts.
• Senior Joel Harrison made his return from injury to the Michigan lineup against Rutgers last week (Oct. 22), earning the start and playing 65 minutes on defense.
• Junior Inaki Rodriguez had a standout performance against Rutgers as the offense ran through him with two assists, while Osman scored the game-winning goal with his first goal of the season.
• Junior transfer Uriel Zeitz recorded his first goal as a Wolverine, scoring the first goal of the match against Rutgers. Zeitz buried a goal into the bottom right corner of the net in the 38th minute, allowing Michigan to take a 1-0 lead into halftime before going on to a 2-1 victory.

Ohio State leads the all-time series with the Wolverines 13-11-2 Michigan has seen the most success recently, having not lost a game to the Buckeyes since 2016. U-M is 4-0-1 against Ohio State in the last five meetings, and went 1-0-1 against OSU in the 2020-21 shortened season.
OSU is 5-8-1 overall on the season and 1-5-0 in Big Ten Conference play after earning the 2-1 upset victory over Penn State this past Friday. The Buckeyes are being outscored by opponents 19-14 and are averaging just one goal a game behind 12.1 shots per game. Laurence Wootton leads the offense with 12 points, including five goals, while Xavier Green and Devyn Etling have scored three goals each. In net, Keagan McLaughlin has made nine starts and boasts a .763 save percentage, while Noah Lawrence has made six appearances with a .643 save percentage.
