Michigan lost 1-0 for the third time this season. The Maize and Blue lost 1-0 at Houston on Feb. 22 and 1-0 at Illinois on April 11.
Michigan had a season high in attendance (1,012) in tonight's game.
There was a 21-minute rain delay in the bottom of the first inning, the second straight game for U-M with a delay due to weather.
Trent Szkutnik pitched a career high 8.2 innings. Szkutnik struck out six, which ties a season high. He also had six punchouts at Purdue on April 19.
Cole Martin has now reached base in 17 straight games. Martin singled in the second and fourth innings.
Martin also has 10 multi-hit performances this season.
Michigan ends the Big Ten schedule going 1-7 in series-opening games.
