• Kyle Jusick extended his hitting streak to eight games. He has also reached base in eleven straight.
• Eric Jacobson has now picked up a base hit in six straight games.
• Travis Maezes singled in the eighth inning to extend his hitting streak to five games.
• Travis Szkutnik allowed just two earned runs over six innings today, his fourth quality start of the season. His 2.83 ERA leads the Wolverines.
• Szkutnik had five strikeouts, bringing his season total to 32. He sits in ninth place in the Big Ten.
• The Maize and Blue pitching staff totaled 23 strikeouts over the weekend, the eighth series they have struck out more than 20 opposing batters. They lead the Big Ten in team strikeouts.
• Michigan allowed just nine earned runs on the series, the second-fewest in any series on the season. They allowed only seven earned runs at Houston (Feb. 21-23).
