Michigan earned its first win in a home opener since 2010.
Jackson Glines drew three walks on the afternoon and has now reached base in a team-leading 19 consecutive games.
Jacob Cronenworth drew four walks, a new individual high for Michigan batters. He currently leads the Big Ten with 20 walks on the season.
Eric Jacobson continued his recent success with a 2-for-4 day. Over the past three games, Jacobson is hitting .600.
The teams used 13 pitchers combined today. Western Michigan used seven and U-M used six.
The Wolverines set new season bests with nine walks, 12 RBI's and 12 runs scored. They also tied a season high with five stolen bases on the afternoon.
Eight of Michigan's 12 runs were scored with two outs, including all six in the fourth inning.
