INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- On the heels of a 20-12 overall record, the No. 22-ranked University of Michigan volleyball team secured its sixth consecutive NCAA Tournament bid and will head to Palo Alto, Calif., to face Baylor in the first round on Friday (Dec. 2) at 4:30 p.m. PST. The 64 teams selected to the NCAA Tournament were announced today (Sunday, Nov. 27) on ESPNU.

Mark Rosen
"I think that it is a fair draw, and we are excited for tournament time," head coach Mark Rosen said. "We have had a good season, with both ups and downs. We had no idea what we might draw because of the type of season we had. I think Baylor is a good program from a good conference. We don't know much about them but will learn a lot about them very quickly. Looking at the records, it should be a great match. They are our primary focus now."
Joining the Wolverines and Bears at the Stanford pod are host Stanford (21-7) and Sacred Heart (27-7). The Michigan-Baylor winner will face the winner of Stanford-Sacred Heart on Saturday (Dec. 3).
U-M has never met Baylor or Sacred Heart and is 1-2 all-time versus Stanford. It is the second time in the last three seasons that the Wolverines have competed at Stanford in the NCAA Tournament.
