The No. 19-ranked University of Michigan volleyball team (20-6, 8-6 Big Ten) continues a four-match homestand with a pair of Big Ten Conference matches versus Ohio State on Wednesday (Nov. 12) at 7 p.m. and Michigan State on Friday (Nov. 14) at 7 p.m. in Cliff Keen Arena. Both matches can be heard live via MGoBlue.com and Wednesday's match will be televised live by the Big Ten Network.
The Wolverines look to continue the momentum earned with a pair of conference victories last weekend as they head into rivalry week. Michigan moved two games above .500 in conference play and earned its 20th win of the season for the third straight year by knocking off Wisconsin (Nov. 8) for the first time since 2005.
Ohio State comes to Keen Arena for a rare midweek match where Michigan hopes to improve on its 13-48 all-time record versus the Buckeyes. The Wolverines have had recent success, however, and can cap off their second straight and fourth-ever series sweep over OSU with a win.
Friday's contest brings Michigan State to Keen Arena, where U-M looks to exact revenge on the Spartans after MSU handed U-M its first loss of the season Sept. 27. The Wolverines trail 31-45 in the all-time series with their cross-state rival, but the series has been close recently with Michigan holding a 7-6 advantage since the 2002 season.
Michigan has played especially well on its home court and looks to improve on its 11-1 overall mark and 5-1 conference tally inside Cliff Keen Arena.
