Trzos, Lollio Add to U-M Summer All-Star Achievement

Trzos, pitching for the New England Collegiate Baseball League regular season National Division champion Torrington Twisters, was named to the NECBL all-star team in the inaugural battle vs. the Cape Cod League all-stars. Trzos pitched a scoreless ninth inning and recorded two strikeouts in the 5-2 loss to the Cape Cod League (July 28).
Trzos finished the season with a 2-0 record and a 1.42 ERA and he set a Twisters team record with eight saves in the regular season. Trzos added a playoff save in helping junior-to-be RHP Tim Leveque (Northridge, Calif./Crespi HS) record the win over the defending NECBL champion Keene Swamp Bats.
Leveque finished the season with a 6-1 record and a 2.36 overall ERA. He pitched 7.1 shutout innings in the lone Torrington playoff win as Keene knocked off the Twisters in the semifinals before losing in the championship series.
Lollio, who hit .321 for the Alexandria Beetles, was named the leftfielder on the Northwoods League postseason all-star team. Lollio had been named to the Northwoods League all-star team that defeated Team USA in the midseason Northwoods League All-Star game (July 10).
The Wolverines had six different all-star players for the summer with a total of seven all-star selections, with Lollio the lone "double all-star."
ADDITIONAL SUMMER NOTES
NECBL National Division regular-season all-star 3B Brock Koman (Pueblo, Colo./South HS) went 5-for-6 with a homer and two doubles in a 12-5 win over the Riverpoint Royals (July 29) in West Warwick, R.I., in the final game of the season for the Concord Quarry Dogs. Koman's five-hit game, including the first two-hit inning in Quarry Dog history, helped him finish the season at exactly .300 (42-for-140). Koman led or shared the team lead in hits (42), doubles (8), home runs (3), RBI (18), total bases (61) and slugging percentage (.436).
