ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 9 University of Michigan women's gymnastics team (10-3) will host No. 1 Oklahoma (14-0-1) and Eastern Michigan (8-10) in a tri-meet Friday (March 13) at 6:45 p.m. at Crisler Center. Michigan will honor its senior class following the meet against the Sooners and Eagles. The meet will be streamed on B1G+.
Michigan will compete in Olympic order, beginning on vault. Oklahoma will follow a standard away-meet rotation, starting on uneven bars before moving to vault in the second rotation. Eastern Michigan will open on balance beam, move to floor, then vault in the third rotation and finish on uneven bars.
Notes
• Michigan enters week 11 of the season as the No. 9-ranked team in the nation and the No. 4 beam team in the country. The Wolverines rank inside the top-15 on all four events, coming in at No. 4 on beam, No. 11 on floor, No. 13 on vault and No. 15 on uneven bars. Individually, Kayli Boozer sits eighth on the beam and Jahzara Ranger ranks 24th on the beam. Carly Bauman is 25th on the floor.
• U-M will honor its trio of seniors -- Lily Clapper, Farah Lipetz and Paige Thaxton -- following the meet. Clapper has competed on vault and uneven bars for the Wolverines this season, while Lipetz appeared on uneven bars during her career before an injury brought her collegiate career to an end. Thaxton has contributed on both vault and floor for the Maize and Blue. All three have been named Big Ten Distinguished Scholars, are two-time Academic All-Big Ten honorees and three-time WCGA Scholastic All-Americans.
• The Wolverines earned a share of all the individual event titles against Clemson. Reyna Guggino claimed her second vault title of the season, Ranger won the balance beam, and Bauman captured titles on both uneven bars and floor exercise. The meet remained tight throughout, tied at 98.375 at the halfway point before Michigan carried a narrow 147.825-147.800 lead into the final rotation and secured the victory.
• The Wolverines posted eight scores of 9.900 or better against Clemson. Bauman led the way with matching 9.950s on uneven bars and floor exercise. Ranger captured her fourth beam title in the last five meets with a career-best 9.950, while Sophia Diaz tied her career best with a 9.925 on floor. Freshman Quincy Walters recorded matching 9.900s on beam and floor and now has five scores of 9.900 or better this season while competing on both events in all nine meets. Boozer added her eighth score of 9.900 or higher on beam with a 9.900 and Clapper posted a career-best 9.900 on uneven bars. In total, 10 Wolverines have recorded at least one score of 9.900 or higher this season.
• Michigan opened the season by breaking the program record on balance beam with a 49.650 at the Sprouts Farmers Market Collegiate Quad. The mark surpassed the previous program best of 49.625 set during the 2023 season. The Wolverines recorded back-to-back 9.950s in the rotation from Walters and Ava Jordan in their collegiate debuts, while Boozer added a third 9.950 before Bauman anchored the lineup with a 9.925.
• Michigan will head to the 2026 Big Ten Championships Saturday (March 21) and will compete in the evening session in Champaign, Ill. The meet is set to be streamed on the Big Ten Network starting at 5 p.m. CT.
