
U-M to Travel to Seattle for Matchup with Washington

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 8-ranked University of Michigan men's soccer team (4-0-2, 1-0-0 Big Ten) will head to Seattle, Wash., to face conference foe Washington (4-2-2, 1-0-0 Big Ten) on Saturday (Sept. 20) at Husky Soccer Stadium. The 7 p.m. PT match will be streamed on B1G+.

• U-M is coming off its signature win of the 2025 season, defeating No. 1-ranked Indiana in Bloomington, 3-2, on Saturday (Sept. 13). The win marks the first over a No. 1 team in program history.
• Kyle Pierson scored his second goal of the season to earn Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors, the first weekly conference award of the season for the Wolverines.
• Joao Paulo Ramos tallied three points (one goal, one assist) in the win over the Hoosiers to net College Soccer News Offensive Player of the Week recognition.
• Michigan checks in at No. 8 in the TopDrawerSoccer and United Soccer Coaches polls, its highest ranking since March 9, 2021, when it was ranked sixth in the nation.
• Washington native Raymundo Mendez will make his return to the Evergreen State, where he spent two seasons at Seattle Pacific. With Michigan, Mendez has tallied three points in six starts.
• The Maize and Blue boasts a balanced attack with eight players tallying three points or more through six matches.
• Michigan will face the Huskies in Seattle for the first time in program history, with the three previous meetings in Ann Arbor or at a neutral site.
• Washington leads the all-time series, 2-0-1, with the two sides drawing, 1-1, in 2024 in the first-ever conference matchup between the two schools. Â
• Michigan will return to Ann Arbor for a matchup with rival Michigan State on Friday, Sept. 26, at 6 p.m. on Big Ten Network. Â
