Jacobs Earns AVCA All-Region Honorable Mention Honors

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- University of Michigan volleyball team captain Allison Jacobs was named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association All-North Region team as an honorable mention, the organization announced Tuesday (Dec. 10).
Jacobs was selected to the All-Big Ten first team last week and was also chosen as the team's sportsmanship honoree.
She averaged more than four kills per set when playing as an outside hitter -- tallying 335 kills on a .243 hitting percentage. Returning from surgery which required her to miss all of the 2023 season, Jacobs had a strong first 20 matches where she registered 19 double-digit kill matches with a high of 25 twice. She then picked up an injury that forced her to miss time, and returned to the back row for the final three matches where she totaled 19 digs for 186 on the season -- fourth on the team.
Jacobs is the ninth Wolverine to earn All-North Region honorable mention with May Pertofsky and Hannah Grant being the most recent in 2022.
Michigan completed its 2024 season with an 18-13 record, with an 8-12 mark in Big Ten Conference play, which was good for tenth in the conference.
