MADISON, Wis. -- The University of Michigan women's soccer team concluded its 2024 season with a 1-0 loss at Wisconsin at the Dan McClimon Track/Soccer Complex Sunday afternoon (Oct. 27).
The Wolverines (3-13-2, 2-8-1 B1G) had four shots, with three on goal against the Badgers (9-4-4, 5-3-3 B1G), but a goal in the first 10 minutes would secure the win for Wisconsin.
The Badgers took an early 1-0 lead, putting a shot in the lower right corner of the net just 10 minutes into the match. U-M was unable to find the equalizer in the remaining 35 minutes of the first half, as Wisconsin held the one-goal advantage going into halftime.
The Wolverines had three shots in the first half, with Ella Jablinskey coming in off the bench to take two shots, including one on goal, while Jenna Lang tested the keeper once.
Just 10 minutes into the second half, Kali Burrell fired a shot on frame, but it was saved by the Badger keeper, and Michigan could not find the back of the net, resulting in a 1-0 road loss.
The contest marked the end of Michigan's 2024 season.
