PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -- Former University of Michigan men's lacrosse faceoff specialist Nick Rowlett was selected with the 41st pick of the 2023 National Lacrosse League draft on Saturday (Sept. 16).
Rowlett, who recently concluded his first season in the Premier Lacrosse League (outdoor) for the Chaos Lacrosse Club, was also selected in the third round of that selection process in early May.
In his first season in the PLL, he won 117-of-225 draws (52 percent) to go along with 81 ground balls.
Over his four-year Wolverine career, he won a program standard 515-of-949 draws (54 percent) to go along with a school-record 311 ground ball pickups.
Additionally, former Wolverine Josh Zawada (2020-23) was selected by the Saskatchewan Rush in the second round (29th overall). The program's all-time leading scorer with 213 career points, Zawada transferred to Duke following the completion of the 2023 season.
Princeton graduate transfer Beau Pederson was also selected, with his rights being claimed by the Halifax Thunderbirds in the fourth round (No. 63) of the entry draft. A two-time second-team All-Ivy selection for the Tigers, he will spend a graduate season with the Wolverines in 2024.
